Cross-Canada Tour

Thanks to your help, we took our project across Canada!

We took our globally-unprecedented campaign across Canada over a period of two months in the fall of 2013. We stopped at elementary schools, high schools, universities and community organizations to share our idea with Canadians from coast-to-coast. Check out the promo video that helped us raise over $15,000 in our online crowdfund campaign.

 

Student workshops

Our workshops are educational, fun and inspiring. Students are given the opportunity to express their climate change concerns by designing their own warning labels. We then share their creations with their municipal representatives. Youth understand climate change and are genuinely worried for their futures. Our project gives young people an opportunity to have their voices heard.

Climate Change Champions

We want to encourage youth to step up and be climate change superheroes by doing deputations to councillors in their own community. We plan on using camera phones to record their speeches and will share the videos to YouTube. We’ll also post them to our Facebook page and Twitter so that youth across our country will be inspired by youth to do the same.

Presentations to Organizations

People love the innovative theory behind our campaign. We have done talks to community organizations, universities and faith groups all across Canada, and would love to come to do the same for your organization. Please book us for a talk if you’re interested in learning more about our concept and how you can advocate for it in your own community.

Presentations to Municipalities

Are you a municipal councillor who would like Rob Shirkey, our executive director and lawyer, to give a presentation about our by-law in your city or town? Get in touch! We would be happy to visit your community to present our concept and answer questions from your councillors and staff. If we’re not able to travel to your location, we can be Skyped in to discuss our project.
