Robert Shirkey, Toronto-based lawyer, UVic Law alumnus, TEDx presenter, and founder of environmental not-for-profit Our Horizon, will be discussing the psychology, economics, and law behind his organization’s proposal to have municipalities require climate change information labels on gas pump nozzles. Robert is a recognized global authority on the subject.

The concept has been endorsed by some of the world’s top climate scientists and is now being considered by several cities in North America. The plan is to take these examples of leadership to the United Nations’ Climate Change COP21 Conference in Paris this December to share with delegates from around the globe. Come learn about this simple new idea to help move our world in a more sustainable direction. For more information, visit ourhorizon.org.
